Having left the ex Midland Railway Clowne Branch at Oxcroft Colliery Branch Jnct (behind the rear wagon), 58024 begins its short journey down to Oxcroft Opencast Disposal Point with a rake of empty HAA 'merry go round' coal hoppers for loading on 19/11/1992. Oxcroft closed in 2006, along with the disappearance of mines in Derbyshire. It was briefly reopened by UK Coal when they started a coal recovery operation in 2007 to sift through nearby pit tips and recover around 14000 tonnes of coal. It closed again shortly after and is now flattened and all track lifted.
