1502, formerley E27000 'Electra', is exhibited at Coalville Mantle Lane's 'Open Day' on 31/05/1987 sporting its Dutch Railways livery after returning to the UK for preservation.
Built by Metropolitan-Vickers between 1953 & 1954 for use on the Trans Penine Woodhead Route between Manchester and Sheffield, the class was withdrawn during 1968 and sold to the Dutch national railway operator Nederlandse Spoorwegen the following year where they gained useful employment until 1986.
