The next three images show 62005 at work in the West Highlands of Scotland on the Fort William-Mallaig 'Jacobite' services. In this photo 62005 is pictured passing Fort William Mallaig Junction Yard shortly after departure with the 1020 Fort William-Mallaig on 02/08/2002.

Here 62005 crosses the causeway at the western end of Loch Eilt whilst working the 1410 Mallaig-Fort William service on 02/08/2002. Proof that the sun does indeed occasionally appear in the Highlands. Both myself and my companion were being eaten alive by the midges, and it was blessed relief when the train appeared allowing us to begin the walk back to the car, and the chase to Corpach for the next shot.

Nearly at journeys end, 62005 slows for the level crossing at Corpach with the 1410 Mallaig-Fort William service on 02/08/2002. The photograph was taken from the lock gates at the western end of the Caledonian Canal.

The Coronation Class Pacific is pictured alongside the Oxford Canal at Ansty on 1Z63 1523 London Euston-Manchester Piccadilly running about 15 minutes late. Unfortunately the dreaded cloud timed its arrival to perfection !!

76079+45407 are pictured at Craven Arms on 13/04/2006 returning to the East Lancs Railway as 5Z82 1115 Salisbury-Castleton Heywood GF after working 'The Strong Countryman' railtour the previous day between Salisbury and Weymouth, out via Yeovil returning via Bournemouth & Eastleigh.

In full monsoon conditions and about 2 hours late, 61264 climbs to County March Summit on 25/05/2006 with 5Z62 0130 Carnforth-Fort William Yard. The train was the ECS for the 2006 Jacobite season. The train eventually arrived in Fort William 198 minutes late.
