In April 2007 Colas Rail aquired Amec Spie Rail, who had been opearting the flow of logs from Carlisle to Kronospan at Chirk since January 2007. Without any traction of their own, Colas continued to hire in the locomotives that Amec Spie had hired in previously, namely surplus Virgin 'Thunderbird' Class 57's. 57308 'Tin Tin' was the 'hired in' locomotive on 09/08/2007 seen passing Dunham on the Hill whilst working 6J37 1317 Carlisle Yard-Chirk logs. The train was running in slightly ammended STP timings, departing 10 minutes earlier than usual.
