57310 drags an errant 390015 forming 1S82 1645 London Euston-Edinburgh Waverley at Easenhall on 17/08/2005. The Pendolino was suffering from AWS failure so 57010 was attached at Rugby. However, all was not well with the Thunderbird as it ground to a halt at Cathiron. After a 15 minute stand it is seen staggering northwards. Use was made of the bi-directional 'Up Main' to allow trains to pass. The train was later terminated at Preston having lost another 55 minutes en route with the 57 being low on power.
