56081 again, this time pictured thundering past Grangetown whilst in charge of 6D80 1328 Redcar-Scunthorpe coke hoppers on 08/08/2003. The day had begun with a trip out to the cliff tops at Brotton. However, due to a thick sea fog an alternative plan had to be made. By the time this shot was taken at lunchtime the fog was steadily clearing. Five hours later and I did make it onto the cliff tops in rasping sunshine as the following two images will show.
