The fact that D9000 was running around 10 minutes early made all the difference to this shot. Having stood under blue skies and in sunshine for 40 minutes before the Deltic arived, the closer it got to its booked time the closer a large bank of squiff and cloud came to ruining the day. Thankfully she was early and beat the cloud that blotted out the sun on the walk back to the car.
