The duo are pictured on the homeward run passing Bardrill Road, Blackford whlist in charge of 1Z50 1050 Inverness-Birmingham International on 28/08/2004. The railtour was to have featured 40145 run from Preston to Kyle of Lochalsh and back, but unfortunatley the forty was removed at Carlisle on the outward leg with turbo charger problems.
