At four minutes to midnight on 18/07/1985, 26015 gets the right away from Stirling with 1S81 2050 Carlisle-Perth. The Class 26 took over the train from an AC electric locomotive at Mossend Yard.
On Wednesdays during the Summer of 1993, celebrities D5300 & D5301, aka 26007 & 26001, were diagrammed to work an Inverness-Kyle of Lochalsh and return service. On 25/08/1993 26007+26001 'Eastfield' disturb the peace and tranquility at Plockton with 2H85 1235 Inverness-Kyle of Lochalsh. 10 minutes earlier and the sun was fully out !!
26007 & 26001 are seen running round their train after arrival at Kyle of Lochalsh and setting back onto the stock to form the return service to Inverness on 25/08/1993.
